It's that time of year, we made it further than most years but the annual search for the walking sand bottles is underway. If you have any in your trunk or in your golf bag it would be greatly appreciated if you returned them.

Congratulations to Jeff Erhard for his recent HOLE IN ONE on #8 this past Saturday.

Course Update From Steve:
Conditions are excellent as we begin to approach the end of the season. Aerifying has begun on tees and approaches. This annual process is done during play but in a way that doesn’t disturb golf. A handful of fairways will be done over the next 2 months. Our process of overseeding fairways will begin shortly and plans are to finish by October. We saw southern diseases appear more often on our formerly unassailable ryegrass fairways. This is not unexpected with the conditions of late, and opinions on climate change aside, planting Rye cultivars that have specific genetic resistance is warranted and good insurance. Cart path paving went well and we love the neatness of a clean edge and orderly appearance paving lends. It’s a small detail that’s often overlooked at many courses. Grass condition through a blast furnace summer has been good. Conservative management rarely fails.

Accompanying this week’s update is a link to the ground’s departments quarterly blog. Take a deeper dive into the last 3 months HERE.
