Seymour Dunn

After years of making minor adjustments to Seymour Dunn’s design, the club, in 1999 hired Marvin Armstrong, a USGA-recommended golf course architect, to create a plan to bring the course into the 21st Century. After several on-site visits and weeks of research, Armstrong created a Master Plan for bringing Tuscarora up to date in light of the multitude of changes that have occurred in golf technology since the course was first laid out.

Since 1999, the Board of Directors, with the help of our superintendent Steve Kurta, has used the Master Plan to make several minor but important changes to Dunn’s design, that have made the course more challenging, fairer and more pleasing to the eye.
